Football Game Preview: Apple Valley Sun Devils vs. Saugus Centurions + Official Tickets

The Apple Valley Sun Devils will face off against the Saugus Centurions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Apple Valley comes in on five and Saugus on six.

Apple Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Victor Valley by a score of 28-20.

Noah Hardeman went supernova, rushing for 159 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Those two rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Apple Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 271 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Saugus ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Calabasas 28-27. The win almost wasn't to be: the Centurions were down 21-7 in the second quarter.

Apple Valley better keep an eye on Ty Hall. He was instrumental in Saugus' win, rushing for 162 yards and four TDs. With that strong performance, Hall is now averaging an impressive 101.5 rushing yards per game. Landon Lattimore did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 80 receiving yards.

Saugus' victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Apple Valley, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
