Athens is 8-1-1 against Wellsboro since September of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wildcats will square off against the Hornets at 5:30 p.m.

Athens lost 6-1 to Williamsport on Saturday. Athens have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Wellsboro had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bulldogs. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Wellsboro were the better team in the second half.

Wellsboro's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Athens, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Athens couldn't quite get it done against Wellsboro in their previous meeting back in August as they fell 2-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
