Baseball Recap: Woodland Gets the Win

Woodland won the last time they faced Branchville and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Wolverines came out on top against the Yellow Jackets by a score of 4-1.

Woodland's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Luke Crosby, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was Crosby's first of the season.

Woodland's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Branchville, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Woodland will square off against Barnwell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warhorses will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight. As for Branchville, they will venture away from home to take on Military Magnet Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
