Preview: Pennsauken Indians vs. Atlantic City Vikings
The Pennsauken Indians will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Atlantic City Vikings at 5:30 p.m. Pennsauken will be strutting in after a win while Atlantic City will be coming in after a defeat.
Pennsauken scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 68-36 win over Medford Tech. The win was just what Pennsauken needed coming off of a 64-44 loss in their prior match.
Atlantic City suffered their biggest loss since December 20, 2023 on Monday. They were beaten by Wildwood Catholic 70-38. Atlantic City has struggled against Wildwood Catholic recently, as their game on Monday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their loss, Atlantic City saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Taison Parker, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and four steals, was perhaps the best of all. Parker is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Bridget Roach, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Pennsauken has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Atlantic City, they have fallen quite a ways from their 23-6 record last season and are now at 2-10.
