Thunderbird had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Shadow Mountain Matadors a 15-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-7 on Monday.

Alicia Flores made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Catarina Beams, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Kenli Flores was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Thunderbird always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shadow Mountain only posted an OBP of .062.

Thunderbird's record now sits at 17-6. As for Shadow Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Coming up, Thunderbird will challenge Sunnyslope at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shadow Mountain, they will take on St. Mary's at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
