Brennan has gone 9-1 against Holmes recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Brennan Bears will welcome the Holmes Huskies at 5:00 p.m. Brennan's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Holmes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Brennan fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against O'Connor on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. The contest marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Bryannah Campos spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up six Ks. That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, Brennan saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Farrah Lemus, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Holmes came up short against Harlan on Wednesday and fell 10-6. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hannah Melendez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Chloe Martinez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Brennan's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-5. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing 7.5 strikeouts in those games compared to only 3.25 in the others. As for Holmes, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Brennan was able to grind out a solid win over Holmes in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 3-0. Does Brennan have another victory up their sleeve, or will Holmes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
