Basketball Recap: Corry Beavers vs. Iroquois Braves
Corry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 54-44 to the Iroquois Braves. The Beavers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.
Kellen Burroughs continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Iroquois, dropping a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Burroughs has become a key player for Iroquois: the team is 7-2 when he posts at least ten boards, but 3-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Roman Caporale, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 13 points and six rebounds.
Corry's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Iroquois, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season.
As of now, neither Corry nor Iroquois have any future games scheduled.
