Soccer Game Preview: Mountain View vs. Wellington + How To Watch

The Mountain View Mountain Lions will venture away from home to challenge the Wellington Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Mountain View will be strutting in after a victory while Wellington will be coming in after a loss.

Mountain View took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Roosevelt 2-1.

Meanwhile, Wellington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 5-0 to Thompson Valley. One thing that didn't help Wellington's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Brayden Sebold.

Mountain View's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Wellington, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-10.

Everything went Mountain View's way against Wellington when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Mountain View made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mountain Lions since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
