Baseball Recap: Polytechnic Takes a Loss

After flying high against Marshall on Tuesday, Polytechnic came back down to earth. The Panthers took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Silverado Hawks on Saturday.

Alex Chui was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Polytechnic's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Silverado, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Polytechnic will head out to face off against Rio Hondo Prep at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Silverado, they will venture away from home to take on Redlands East Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
