Basketball Recap: Riverside Prep Comes Up Short

Riverside Prep lost against Big Bear last Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Riverside Prep Silver Knights took a 69-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Big Bear Bears.

It was another big night for Aiden Brewer, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds for Big Bear. Brewer has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 20 times he's played. Brennen Berge was another key player, going 7 for 15 on his way to 19 points along with six boards and four steals.

Riverside Prep has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Big Bear, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 22-4.

Riverside Prep will challenge Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Big Bear, they will welcome Academy for Academic Excellence at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
