Baseball Recap: Tri-Central Takes a Loss

Tri-Central lost against Tipton back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Trojans fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 10-9.

Jacob Cline was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Weston Enright, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI and two doubles.

Tri-Central has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Tipton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri-Central will challenge Rossville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Tipton, they will square off against Lafayette Central Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
