Basketball Recap: Wewahitchka Skates Past Wakulla Christian School with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Blountstown, Wewahitchka was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They breezed by the Wakulla Christian School Saints to the tune of 81-46. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-25.

Wewahitchka's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rhemy Patrick led the charge by putting up 14 points. Cyliss Post was another key player, going 5 for 7 on his way to 11 points.

Wewahitchka smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

With the win, Wewahitchka broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4. As for Wakulla Christian School, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Wewahitchka wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 81-47 defeat against Port St. Joe on the 6th. Wakulla Christian School has also already played their next match, a 68-49 loss against Aucilla Christian on the 6th.
