Basketball Recap: Sparta Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hollister last Wednesday, Sparta came back down to earth. The Sparta Trojans had to suffer through a 56-24 loss at the hands of the Chadwick Cardinals. The matchup marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sparta's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Chadwick, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sparta will welcome Crane at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chadwick, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Everton at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th.
