Volleyball Recap: Oxnard Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Oxnard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Santa Barbara Dons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellowjackets of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 26-28, 25-16, 25-16.

Despite the defeat, Oxnard saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Allison Vallangca had 15 digs and one assist. Those 15 digs set a new season-high mark for Vallangca.

Oxnard's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Santa Barbara, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Oxnard will host Ventura at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Santa Barbara, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against San Marcos on the 10th.
