Basketball Recap: Park View Patriots vs. John Champe Knights
The Park View Patriots pushed their score all the way to 77 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 82-77 hit to the loss column at the hands of John Champe. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (69), Park View still had to take the loss.
Despite the defeat, Park View saw an underclassman step up: Noah Calalang scored 31 points. Jonathan Nicola was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Park View's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for John Champe, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Park View will take on the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for John Champe, they will be playing at home against the Spartans at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
