Soccer Recap: Mt. Zion's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

After soaring to eight goals the game before, Mt. Zion was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of the Effingham Hearts by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Effingham this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Mt. Zion moved to 11-5 with that defeat, which also ended their five-match winning streak. As for Effingham, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-1-3.
