Recap: Western Boone Stars vs. Lebanon Tigers

The Western Boone Stars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 49-35 bruising from Lebanon. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Western Boone in their matchups with Lebanon: they've now lost six in a row.

Western Boone's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ally Lewis, who scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds. Lewis scored a full 37.1% of Western Boone's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ila Stokes was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 3 steals.

Lebanon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emily Sperry, who scored 6 points along with 10 rebounds and 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Marina Barr, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds.

Western Boone has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Lebanon, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Western Boone will be home for the holidays to greet Southmont at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lebanon, they will head out on the road to face off against Clinton Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Clinton Central will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
