Baseball Game Preview: Bishop Brossart Mustangs vs. Bryan Station Defenders

The Bishop Brossart Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the Bryan Station Defenders at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Brossart's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Bryan Station's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Bishop Brossart fell victim to Campbell County and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Camels. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Camels: they've now lost seven in a row.

Alex Noe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on seven hits.

Meanwhile, Bryan Station also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Madison Central by a score of 5-2.

Chayavone Robinson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Logan Willhoite also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Bryan Station's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Bishop Brossart, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.
