Softball Recap: Aloha Extends Winning Streak to Three

Aloha waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the La Salle Falcons by a score of 6-1. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly five runs.

Chiyori Brumley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 17 Ks. Those 17 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Abby Dimeo was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Dimeo, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

Aloha hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 6-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Aloha's record now sits at 10-7. As for La Salle, they moved to 8-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Aloha will welcome Jesuit at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for La Salle, they will face off against Hood River Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
