Softball Recap: Mukwonago Indians vs. Indian Trail Hawks

Mukwonago had lost five straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 3-9 to make it six. They lost 12-1 to the Indian Trail Hawks. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to the Hawks from their previous meeting back in April of 2018.

Mukwonago saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sienna Sturino, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Sturino has hit this season.

As for Indian Trail, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games.

On Indian Trail's side, Adri Rivera made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Rivera was also solid in the batter's box, earning three runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Claire Giese was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Mags Aguinaga, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Coming up, Mukwonago will face off against Arrowhead at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Indian Trail, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-6 defeat against Kenosha Bradford on the 5th.
