Basketball Recap: Paradise Sets Scoring Season-High Against Hamilton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Paradise). They walked away with a 70-58 victory over the Hamilton Braves on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hamilton's loss came despite strong showings from Case Porter and Zach Reed. Porter posted 22 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Reed earned 18 points. That was a full 37.9% of the Braves' points, marking the sixth time in a row Porter has had more than a third of the team's points. Michael Rivera also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

The win got Paradise back to even at 4-4. As for Hamilton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Paradise will take on West Valley in a tournament on Wednesday. As for Hamilton, they will be home for the holidays to greet Redding Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
