Softball Recap: Hobart Brickies vs. Hanover Central Wildcats
Hobart had lost nine straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 5-12 to make it ten. They lost 11-1 to the Hanover Central Wildcats. If the Brickies were looking for revenge after losing 15-11 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Nora Hornak was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.
As for Hanover Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.
On Hanover Central's side, Jillian DeYoung made a splash no matter where she played.
