Soccer Game Preview: Capital vs. North Thurston

The Capital Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the North Thurston Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Capital's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Capital's offense. They fell just short of Spanaway Lake by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Thurston). They never let Black Hills get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Monday.

The win got North Thurston back to even at 1-1-2. As for Capital, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Capital beat North Thurston by a goal in their previous meeting last Tuesday, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Capital since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
