Softball Recap: Hanover Central Comes Up Short

Hanover Central managed to slip by Kankakee Valley the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats lost 9-1 to the Kougars on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Hanover Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sienna Antkiewicz, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Hanover Central's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-9. As for Kankakee Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hanover Central will square off against Andrean at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Fighting 59ers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kankakee Valley, they will take on Harrison at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
