Basketball Recap: Miami Takes a Loss

If Miami was feeling good fresh off their 62-10 takedown of Darrouzett last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Miami Warriors fell to the Booker Kiowas 51-46. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Kiowas earlier this season, when they won 39-38.

When it comes to explaining why Miami lost on Friday, don't look at Jacer Dempsey. Despite the final result, he went 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points and three steals. Dempsey has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Breken Early, who posted 14 points and five rebounds.

Miami has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Booker, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.
