Franklin and Davis Sr. are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will face off against the Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Franklin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Enochs 9-1.
Leilani Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on seven hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Franklin let Madison Ortega and Angel Estrada run wild. Ortega went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Estrada got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave Estrada a new career-high. Julissa Sandoval was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.
Franklin hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive games.
Davis Sr. not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 6, 2025 (when they won 13-0). They never let Mountain House get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory.
The team relied heavily on Gracie Martinez, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Kylie Yao also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Franklin's record is now 17-10. As for Davis Sr., their record now sits at 15-11.
Franklin couldn't quite finish off Davis Sr. in their previous meeting back in March and fell 7-5. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
