Herriman's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Bingham Miners as Herriman made off with a 19-7 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Sierra Prescott looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Herriman got a massive performance out of Kinlee McDermaid, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI McDermaid has posted since back in March of 2024. Sammy Nelson was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
The win got Herriman back to even at 7-7. As for Bingham, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3-3.
Herriman and Bingham will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time Herriman sees the field they'll take on West Field at 3:30 p.m. on April 9. As for Bingham, their break will end when they face Riverton at 3:30 p.m. on April 8.
