Volleyball Recap: Pitman Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

Pitman had won two straight road games and Nicoletta Dowd did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Pride skirted past the Turlock Bulldogs 3-2 with plenty of help from Dowd, who had 18 assists and ten digs. Dowd is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Pitman who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-27, 25-22, 21-25, 16-14.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bella Green, who had 22 assists and nine digs. With that strong performance, Green is now averaging an impressive 12.3 assists per game. Audrey Mensonides was another key player, getting 14 digs and three assists.

Pitman's win bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Turlock, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.

Pitman has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Downey on the 7th. As for Turlock, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Modesto on the 7th.
