Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jack Mcclanahan and Caden Rushing Lead Parkway South to Victory

Parkway South's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Hazelwood West Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-7, 25-19.

Leading Parkway South to victory were Caden Rushing and Jack McClanahan. Rushing had five aces and three digs, while McClanahan had ten digs. Those five aces gave Rushing a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Parkway South was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive matches.

Parkway South's record now sits at 8-4. As for Hazelwood West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10-2.

Coming up, Parkway South will welcome Marquette at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hazelwood West, they will head out to face off against Bayless at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
