Recap: Dorchester Longhorns vs. Pawnee City Indians
The Dorchester Longhorns''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Pawnee City at home and fell 52-25. Dorchester was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-4.
It was another big night for Jett Farwell, who rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 31 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Justin Pierce, who threw for 138 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes.
Dorchester's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-2 Parkview Christian (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 65.5% over those games). As for Pawnee City, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Dorchester does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pawnee City will be playing at home against Sioux County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Sioux County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
