Volleyball Recap: Plainfield South Beats Lincoln-Way West for Their Third Straight Win

With a playoff win on the line, Plainfield South rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They didn't even let the Lincoln-Way West Warriors on the board, marking their second-straight 2-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Domonic Krejci paced Plainfield South's offense, picking up nine kills. Krejci got some help from Alexander Venes and his 30 assists.

Plainfield South's record now sits at 23-13. As for Lincoln-Way West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-18 record this season.

Plainfield South will venture away from home to challenge Downers Grove North at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. Lincoln-Way West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
