Softball Game Preview: Twin Valley South Panthers vs. Madison Mohawks

The Twin Valley South Panthers will face off against the Madison Mohawks at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Twin Valley South has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Madison will arrive with three straight wins.

Twin Valley South managed to slip by Newton Local the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers came up short against the Indians on Friday, falling 11-4.

Paityn Cross was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Howard, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Madison). They came out on top against Oakwood by a score of 11-8 on Friday.

Madison's victory bumped their record up to 4-8-1. As for Twin Valley South, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Twin Valley South skirted past Madison 12-11 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mohawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
