Lapel dropped their record down to 11-3 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Hagerstown Tigers, falling 7-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lapel saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karlie Jannings, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Jannings has hit this season.

As for Hagerstown, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Considering they have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

On Hagerstown's side, Rylan Young spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up nine Ks. Young has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Allison Stinson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Aaliya Anderson was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Lapel didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 victory against Mt. Vernon on the 29th. As for Hagerstown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-2 win against Centerville on the 30th.
