Metuchen came tearing into Thursday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Rahway Indians with a sharp 18-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Jon Nugent looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
