Recap: Leake Academy Rebels vs. St. Joseph Catholic Bruins
The Leake Academy Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 23 points or more this season. Everything went their way against St. Joseph Catholic on Wednesday as Leake Academy made off with a 67-44 victory. The win was familiar territory for Leake Academy who now have three in a row.
Leake Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sarah Prince out in front who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Marleigh Myers, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Leake Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for St. Joseph Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
Leake Academy is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Washington at 12:30 p.m. on December 27th. St. Joseph Catholic will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Parklane Academy at 3:00 p.m. on December 30th.
