Baseball Recap: Centennial Find Success

Franklin typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Centennial proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Admirals by a score of 6-2. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Admirals on Tuesday, they had to take a 10-5 defeat.

Ben Gant made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Gant was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other pitching news, Centennial got a great performance from Connor Gray as he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Titus Cimarosti, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mateo Bruzzese, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

The victory got Centennial back to even at 14-14. As for Franklin, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will venture away from home to face off against Riverdale at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Franklin, they will face off against Spring Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
