Baseball Game Preview: De Queen Leopards vs. Arkadelphia Badgers

The De Queen Leopards are taking a road trip to challenge the Arkadelphia Badgers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (De Queen 2.3, Arkadelphia 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

De Queen's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Friday's struggle, when Nashville hitters got past them. The Leopards lost 11-1 to the Scrappers on Friday. The Leopards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Arkadelphia had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Friday. They skirted past the Panthers 3-1.

Arkadelphia pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for De Queen, their loss dropped their record down to 12-3.

Everything went De Queen's way against Arkadelphia in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as De Queen made off with a 12-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Leopards since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
