Basketball Recap: Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Starts Season with Loss at Home

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 45-25 to the Central Noble Cougars on Saturday. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Natalie Stover, who posted four points.

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fort Wayne South Side at 7:30 p.m. on the 18th. As for Central Noble, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Whitko at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
