Volleyball Game Preview: Youngker Roughriders vs. Buckeye Hawks

Youngker hasn't had much luck against Buckeye recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Youngker will look to defend their home court against Buckeye at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Youngker is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Washington.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Youngker sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-15, 20-25, 25-15, 20-25, 15-7.

Meanwhile, Buckeye faced Independence in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Buckeye fell just short of Independence by a score of 3-2. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Buckeye sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-12, 23-25, 15-12.

Youngker's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Buckeye, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
