The Fairmont Golden Tornadoes will challenge the Nash Central Bulldogs on Tuesday. Fairmont will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.

Fairmont is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They strolled past SouthWest Edgecombe with points to spare, taking the game 59-43. Given the Golden Tornadoes' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Cougars are ranked 98th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Nash Central made easy work of Louisburg on Friday and carried off a 69-46 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Fairmont pushed their record up to 23-1 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.1 points on average over those games. As for Nash Central, their victory bumped their record up to 18-8.
