After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Conant, Wheeling was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Hoffman Estates Hawks by a score of 9-4. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Hawks on May 2nd, they had to take a 6-4 loss.

Wheeling's win bumped their record up to 12-19. As for Hoffman Estates, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-24 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wheeling will challenge Maine West at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The last five games the Warriors have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Hoffman Estates, they will take on Waukegan at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
