Volleyball Recap: Wheeler Comes Up Short

Wheeler had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 17-11 to make it four. They fell just short of the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

As for Hammond Bishop Noll, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since August 30th.

Hammond Bishop Noll found their leader in sophomore Angelina Rosario, who had 11 digs and four aces. Rosario is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Looking ahead, Wheeler will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Whiting at 6:30 p.m. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, they will venture away from home to challenge Merrillville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
