Basketball Recap: West Broward Comes Up Short

West Broward lost against South Broward back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The West Broward Bobcats took a blow against the South Broward Bulldogs, falling 52-18. The Bobcats were down 43-9 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

South Broward found their leader in freshman Paris George, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points along with six assists and six steals. George is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayonna Lewis, who posted eight points and four steals.

West Broward has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for South Broward, they pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

West Broward will challenge Plantation at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Broward, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Northeast at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northeast will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something South Broward surely won't give up without a fight.
