Softball Game Preview: Xenia Buccaneers vs. Middletown Christian Eagles

The Xenia Buccaneers will head out to face off against the Middletown Christian Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Xenia is coming into the game on a 14-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Xenia came up short against Tippecanoe on Wednesday, falling 12-2.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Middletown Christian duked it out with Aiken on Tuesday. The Eagles blew past the Falcons 19-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Riley White made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. White was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her eight plate appearances.

In other batting news, Middletown Christian got a massive performance out of Karsyn Meier, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in five of her nine plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Allyana Tobler, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.

Xenia's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Middletown Christian, their record now sits at 2-0.
