Basketball Recap: Esperanza Preparatory Academy Comes Up Short

Esperanza Preparatory Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against Baruch College, falling 62-33. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 588th, while Baruch College are ranked 215th).

Esperanza Preparatory Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Baruch College, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Community Health Academy the next time they take the court. Baruch College will head out to face Community Health Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while Esperanza Preparatory Academy will host them at 4:30 p.m. on January 15th.
