Basketball Recap: Chester Comes Up Short

Chester lost against Brookeland back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chester Yellowjackets had to suffer through a 84-29 loss at the hands of the Brookeland Wildcats. The Yellowjackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 63-18.

Chester lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Lauren Citrano, who posted seven points.

Chester's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-6. As for Brookeland, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 28-4.

Chester has already played their next matchup, a 57-15 victory against High Island on the 31st. As for Brookeland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 83-17 win against Hull-Daisetta on the 31st.
