Volleyball Recap: Merrillville Takes a Loss

Merrillville lost against Kankakee Valley back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates fell just short of the Kougars by a score of 2-1.

Jada Clark paced Merrillville's offense, picking up eight kills. Clark got some help from Lucy McCollum and her 18 assists. Clark was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Merrillville's loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Merrillville will take on Washington Township at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kankakee Valley, they will square off against Illiana Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
