League recap: AMBROSE races to league-leading run for Dover

Dover's LOGAN AMBROSE recorded the longest rushing play in York-Adams 2 this season in his game against Central York last week. AMBROSE ran for 81 yards on the play and finished with 106 on the day as his team lost to the Panthers.

Northeastern lost to Spring Grove 42-19 last week, the largest margin of any game. Marcus Josey was a bright spot for the Bobcats, as he threw for 207 yards and 2 touchdowns in the defeat.

He went 12-26 with 0 interception.

Gary Gobernik made the biggest impact on defense this week as Northeastern lost to the Rockets. The 5-foot-9 sophomore.

Justin Fitchett was the best receiver in the league this week as Kennard-Dale fell to Red Lion. Fitchett tallied 3 receptions for 145 yards.

Jon Scepanski's team's Josey and Gobernik have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Josey has thrown for 770 yards this season, while Gobernik, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 7 catches for 180 yards. The Rams' Mike Young leads the league in rushing yards with 746.

Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when the Bobcats' Gobernik goes up against New Oxford's Jake Massicot.

Next week's game between Northeastern and the Colonials will feature an aerial matchup as Josey tests his arm against Massicot's defensive ability.

A big matchup in York-Adams 2 this week will be when Kennard-Dale takes on Dover. As it stands, Andrew Loucks' team is in fourth, while Eric Lam's team is in second.
