Wayne is 9-1 against East Union since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Wayne Falcons challenge the East Union Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Wayne is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since February 16, 2024 on Friday. They were outmatched by Mount Ayr and fell 67-34.

Meanwhile, East Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 55-19 loss at the hands of Central Decatur.

East Union's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Wayne, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Everything came up roses for Wayne against East Union in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 59-16 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wayne since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
