Baseball Game Preview: Terra Linda Trojans vs. San Rafael Bulldogs

The Terra Linda Trojans will take on the San Rafael Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Terra Linda hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Terra Linda might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-2 to Stuart Hall, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Nate Combrink spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Terra Linda saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Biesiadecki, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Thomas Martinez also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but San Rafael ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Terra Linda. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won three in a row.

The win got San Rafael back to even at 5-5. As for Terra Linda, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
